Banje Beach it’s a postcard beach featured in several magazines and travel blogs and it is the closest beach to Dubrovnik city and ideal to go with kids.

More than 1,000 years of history of the city are present in every corner. A museum city, a living setting, the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. But if there is something you should not miss, it is the clock tower, the Rector's palace, the Franciscan monastery, the Dubrovnik Cathedral and the Church of San Blas. The Old Town, enclosed within the walled city, is one of the most beautiful parts of Dubrovnik. It has drawn millions of tourist over the years and filmmakers have been bewitched by its beauty, including it as the backdrop and main set of the worldwide famous Game of Thrones.

The stunning and sturdy Dubrovnik's stone walls were built during the 10th century and there are 16 towers and an extension of 1,940 meters. They are worth visiting just for the incredible views they offer across the city. Do not miss the opportunity to visit them by taking a romantic walk with your partner. It is accessed through the entrance that is located in the northern part, near the church of Sant Spasa. Take a guided tour and get some insights of the history that lie beneath every stone.

Dubrovnik has a very lively nightlife and a vibrant scene. The best place to enjoy it is Prijeko Street, where you will find several terraces and bars with a very chic atmosphere to have a drink while listening to live music of different genres, including jazz. In addition, if you are lucky enough to visit the city during the summer, you can enjoy the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, where some great composers, soloists and orchestras from all over the world take part in.

If the views from the walls were not surprising enough, take the cable car and climb to the top of Mount Srd, where the best viewpoint in the city is located. Seeing the old city and the Adriatic Sea bathed in orange and red hues at the end of the day is one of the moments you will capture with your camera in a second but will remain in your memory for years to come.

Dubrovnik's gastronomy is very similar to that of Mediterranean countries such as Greece, Spain or Italy, but with oriental influences due to its geographical location. But if there is something you should not miss trying during your stay, it is bouzara, a scampi stew, and cevapi, a spice of sausage cooked on the grill. One of the most divine lambs you can eat is the Peka, slow-cooked in a traditional pot in their outdoor kitchens. Patience will make it worth the while! And the icing on the cake is the sweet Rozata or the Stone Cake and taking a sip of the wines from the Peljesac Peninsula and the Island of Korcula.

Dubrovnik has a lot to see but outside its walls, there some fabulous landscapes to enjoy and seaside locations to see. Lokrum is a stunning island where you can see the ruins of the Benedictine Monastery and the Botanical Garden. All the fans of Game of Thrones will recognise some of the landmarks and places used for the filming of several parts of the famous HBO series. King’s Landing and its castle is actually Dubrovnik walled city so any fan that comes to the city will feel like having a déjà vu! You can also have a tour that will tell you more about the series and browse the shops and find a John Snow mug, a Mother of Dragons T-shirt or some of the Starks or the Lannisters items.

The clock tower on Luza Square is one of the main landmarks you can spot the minute you enter the walls of the Old Town. This is a nice tower about 31 metres high and the Green Men are the bronze figures standing on each side of the clock. The hour is shown in a very special way in the squares at half height. Roman numerals are shown on the left side and regular numbers on the right. It is impossible to miss!
