How to activate or deactivate Holidu Protect

Holidu Protect offers comprehensive coverage for your property against guest-related damages. You can activate or deactivate this protection individually for each of your properties through your Holidu Host account. This guide walks you through the simple process to get started.

How to activate Holidu Protect

Follow these steps to activate Holidu Protect for your property:

Step 1: Access your property settings

Log in to your Holidu Host account and navigate to the property configuration of the holiday home you want to protect.

Step 2: Access Pricing & Protection settings

In your property settings, click on Pricing & Protection. Then locate the section labeled "Protect your Property" and click on the configure button.

Step 3: Review and accept terms and conditions

Read through the information about Holidu Protect carefully. You will need to review and accept the Terms & Conditions to proceed with activation.

Step 4: Activate Holidu Protect

Click on the "Activate Holidu Protect" button. You will immediately receive a confirmation message indicating that Holidu Protect has been successfully activated for your property.

What happens after activation

Once you confirm activation, Holidu Protect becomes immediately active for all future bookings at that property. Your guests will be protected against property damages, and you will have coverage up to €50,000 per reservation.

If you have security deposits in place for your property, they will be automatically deactivated once Holidu Protect is activated.

How to deactivate Holidu Protect

You have complete flexibility to manage your protection settings. If you decide to deactivate Holidu Protect for a property, simply follow the same steps above and select the deactivate option instead. Changes take effect immediately for all future bookings.
