When and how is the onboarding fee charged?

The onboarding fee helps you get your property listed on Holidu and set up the tools you need to manage bookings effectively. This guide explains when and how this fee is charged to your account.

When is the onboarding fee charged?

The onboarding fee is deducted from the payout of your first booking. It's charged at the property level, which means it applies even if the booking is canceled.

If you have multiple properties, a separate onboarding fee is charged for each one. The amount is deducted before we send you the payout for the booking, and you'll receive a separate invoice for the onboarding fee in your "Invoices" section.

How does the fee work with cancellations?

At Holidu, we use a "balance concept" for charges. If a booking with an already processed payout gets canceled, you don't need to refund us. Instead, we deduct the onboarding fee amount from your next booking. The onboarding fee remains in place until we can successfully deduct it from another booking.

How to check if the onboarding fee applies to you

To verify whether the onboarding fee applies to your Holidu account, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Holidu account at host.holidu.com/app
2. Go to the Holidu Logo on the upper right side
3. Click on "Account" and scroll to the bottom of the page
4. Look for "Your Holidu agreement" and click the Download button next to it

Your Holidu agreement will contain details about the onboarding fee for your specific market and account type.

Where can you find your onboarding fee invoice?

You can locate your onboarding fee invoice in the "Invoices" section of your host account. The invoice is created separately when the fee is deducted from your first booking payout.
