When and how is the onboarding fee charged?

The onboarding fee helps you get your property listed on Holidu and set up the tools you need to manage bookings effectively. Understanding when and how this fee is charged will help you plan your finances as a host.

How the onboarding fee is charged

The onboarding fee is deducted from the payout of your first booking. This means:

  • The fee is applied at the property level
  • It applies even if your first booking is canceled
  • If you have multiple properties, the fee is charged for each property separately
  • The amount is deducted before you receive your payout

A separate invoice for the onboarding fee is created and you can find it in your Invoices section.

What happens if your first booking is canceled

At Holidu, we use a balance concept for bookings. If a booking with an already processed payout gets canceled, you do not need to refund us. Instead, we deduct the onboarding fee amount from your next booking. The onboarding fee remains in place until we can deduct it from another booking.
