Verifying your account as a private host is an essential step to ensure you can receive payments and operate your property on Holidu. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the entire verification process, including personal details, identity confirmation, and payout information. By following these steps, you'll complete your verification quickly and securely.
Important: This process can only be completed by the host (the primary account holder in Holidu).

Step 1: Gather Your Documents
Before you begin the verification process, ensure you have the following documents ready. Please note that Adyen does not accept scanned documents. Only clear photos or official digital downloads of the original documents will be accepted.
- Official identification (passport, driving license, or national ID)
- Proof of bank account ownership (e.g., bank statement or deposit slip)
- If you're a freelancer, sole trader, or sole proprietor, your registration number
Step 2: Access Your Account Verification
- Log in to your Holidu host account
- Navigate to the Account tab
- Click on Validate to begin the verification process
- You may be asked to sign a new agreement — simply accept to continue. (This won't change your pricing.)
Step 3: Verify Your Personal Information
- Click on Personal Details
- Review the information pre-filled from your Holidu account
- If any information needs editing, click Edit and make the necessary corrections
- Ensure all required fields are completed accurately
- At the bottom, select whether your bank account is in your personal name or registered under your sole proprietorship (freelancer, sole trader, etc.)
- If applicable, provide your registration number and address
- Click Next to continue
Step 4: Confirm Your Address
- Enter your address in the search field, and the details will autofill
- Make sure the address matches the one on your ID document
- If your billing address differs from your personal address, update it to match the address on your ID
- Click Next to proceed
Step 5: Verify Your Identity with an ID Document
You have two options for identity verification:
Instant Verification (Recommended)
- Select the country that issued your ID
- Choose your document type (passport, driving license, or ID card)
- Confirm that your document matches the personal information you've entered
- Scan the QR code with your phone or get the link via SMS
- Take clear, high-quality photos of your document for immediate verification
Manual Verification
- Select your document type
- Upload clear, high-quality photos of your document from your computer
- Click Next to submit
- Allow up to 72 hours for verification to complete
Step 6: Verify Your Payout Details
Ensuring your bank account details are correct is crucial for receiving your earnings. Your bank account must match the name you provided in the previous step.
Choose one of these two verification options:
Instant Verification
- Select your online banking provider
- Log in to your bank account through Tink (our trusted partner)
- Your login information is never stored — it's only used for verification purposes
Manual Verification
- Enter your bank details manually
- Upload a recent bank document (dated within the last 12 months)
- Ensure the document shows your name, IBAN, and for non-EU residents, the bank location
- Click Next to submit
- Allow up to 72 hours for verification
Step 7: Complete Sole Proprietor or Sole Trader Details
If you're a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, you'll need to provide additional information:
- Your business legal name (as it appears on official registration documents)
- Registration number (or indicate if you don't have one)
- Your business address (ensure it matches your legal address)
Step 8: Finalize Your Verification
- If you used Instant Verification, your account status should update immediately
- If you used Manual Verification, allow up to 72 hours for processing
- Track the status of your verification in your Holidu account — it will change from In Review to Complete once finished

- Ensure clarity: Make sure your photos and documents are clear, well-lit, and fully visible
- Stay consistent: Ensure the information on all your documents matches, especially names and addresses
- Monitor your email: We may contact you with updates or additional steps, so check your inbox regularly

- Match all details: Double-check that all information across documents aligns perfectly
