By verifying your identity and payout information, you protect both yourself and the Holidu community. Once verified, you'll be able to receive payouts and list your property with full confidence.

Before You Start: Gather Your Documents

Preparation is key to a smooth verification process. Please note that Adyen (our payment partner) does not accept scanned documents. Only clear photos or the official digital download of the original document will be accepted.

Make sure you have the following documents ready:

  • Official identification (passport, driving license, or national ID)
  • Proof of bank account ownership (e.g., a bank statement or deposit slip)
  • If you're a freelancer, sole trader, or sole proprietor, your registration number

Step-by-Step Verification Guide

Step 1: Start Verification

Begin the verification process by accessing your account settings:

  • Go to the 'Account' tab in your Holidu account
  • Click on 'Validate' to begin the process
  • You may be asked to sign a new agreement — simply accept to continue. This won't change your pricing

Step 2: Verify Your Personal Information

Review and confirm your personal details:

  • Click on 'Personal Details'
  • Double-check the information pre-filled from your Holidu account
  • If something needs editing, click 'Edit' to update any incorrect information
  • Add any missing information required
  • Click 'Next' to proceed
  • At the bottom, select whether your bank account is in your personal name or registered under your sole proprietorship (freelancer, sole trader, etc.)
  • If applicable, provide your registration number and business address
  • Click 'Next' to continue

Step 3: Add Your Address

Enter your address information accurately:

  • Enter your address in the search field, and the details will autofill
  • Important: Make sure the address matches the one on your ID document
  • If your billing address is different, update it to match the personal address on your ID

Step 4: Verify Your Identity with an ID Document

You have two verification options. Choose the method that works best for you:

Instant Verification (Recommended)

  1. Select the country that issued your ID
  2. Choose your document type (passport, driving license, or ID card)
  3. Make sure your document matches the personal information you've entered
  4. Scan the QR code (or get the link via SMS) with your phone
  5. Take clear photos of the document for immediate verification

Manual Verification

  1. Select your document type
  2. Upload clear photos of your document from your computer
  3. Ensure the photos are high quality and the document is fully visible
  4. Click 'Next' to submit
  5. Allow up to 72 hours for verification to complete

Step 5: Verify Your Payout Details

Connect your bank account for payouts:

  • Make sure your bank account matches the name you provided in the previous step
  • Choose one of these two verification options

Instant Verification

  1. Select your online banking provider
  2. Log in to your bank account through Tink (our trusted partner)
  3. Your login information is never stored — it's only used for verification purposes

Manual Verification

  1. Enter your bank details manually
  2. Upload a recent bank document (within the last 12 months)
  3. The document must show your name, IBAN, and for non-EU residents, the bank location
  4. Click 'Next' to submit
  5. Verification may take up to 72 hours

Step 6: Verify Sole Proprietor or Sole Trader Details

If you're a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, provide the following information:

  • Your business legal name (as it appears on official registration documents)
  • Registration number (or indicate if you don't have one)
  • Your business address (make sure it matches your legal address)

Step 7: Complete Verification

Track your verification status:

  • If you used Instant Verification, your account status should update right away
  • If you used Manual Verification, allow up to 72 hours
  • You can track the status of your verification in your Holidu account
  • The status will change from "In Review" to "Complete" once finished
