Refined design with character.
Public transport (tram) is just one minute away straight to the centre, and Rembrandtpark is just around the corner.
Designed for travellers who appreciate warmth and craft. Guests enter the building through the main entrance using a smart lock with their personal PIN code: no keys, no front desk, no waiting.
There is a shared hallway with your host, but behind the private door the suite is all yours. Quiet hours: 23:00 to 07:00. Pets: Not allowed.
Smoking: Not allowed.
Events: Not allowed.
Suitable for: children and infants We will be mostly communicating online.
But in case of emergency, we live in a separate part of the building behind a closed internal door. Para Boutique sits in the Westindische Buurt in Amsterdam West, a quiet, green and small-scale neighbourhood that has grown into one of the most loved corners of the city.
The atmosphere is relaxed and genuinely local: away from the crowds of the centre, but excellently connected.
A tram stop one minute on foot takes you straight to the centre in a single ride. Eating and drinking nearby.
The neighbourhood is full of independent addresses worth their reputation.
For brunch and lunch, Benji's on Baarsjesweg is a local favourite.
Don't miss their Bali cheese steak, it's the thing I keep going back for. For coffee and a slow morning, Coffee & Juices on Baarsjesweg is a tucked-away corner spot just minutes away.
For dinner, nNea Pizza is a must: some of the best Neapolitan pizza in Europe, with focaccia worth the trip alone (do book ahead, it's popular for good reason). For a special evening, Night Kitchen on Jan Pieter Heijestraat is a wonderful Mediterranean sharing-plates restaurant within walking distance, relaxed but seriously good.
For a relaxed drink, Bar Kosta on the Kostverlorenkade is a stylish neighbourhood spot with great cocktails and a sunny terrace, while the Belgian beer café Gent aan de Schinkel is perfect for a canal-side beer in summer.
And if you're in the mood for a livelier night out, Bonnie on Amstelveenseweg stays open late into the weekend. Green around the corner.
Rembrandtpark is reachable within minutes via Postjesweg, perfect for a morning run or a slow coffee walk.
The world-famous Vondelpark is around 12 minutes on foot, or 4 minutes by bike.
Enter from the southwest side and you'll find De Vondeltuin, a relaxed garden terrace for a drink or a bite in the sun, while deeper into the park the iconic 't Blauwe Theehuis is a wonderful spot for a beer on its large terrace.
A walk straight through the park takes you directly to Leidseplein and the Rijksmuseum, one of Amsterdam's most beautiful walking routes.
The Schinkel canal, lined with houseboats, is 5 minutes away and one of the loveliest spots for an evening stroll. Connections to the city.
The Museum Quarter (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk) is around 15 minutes by tram, Amsterdam Centraal 15 to 20 minutes.
Amsterdam Lelylaan train station offers direct trains to Schiphol Airport in around 15 minutes, as well as Den Haag and Rotterdam.
It's a short walk, tram or bike ride away. Daily essentials.
A well-stocked Jumbo supermarket is 3 minutes' walk; local shops, bakeries and a florist are in the surrounding streets.
And like most of Amsterdam, this neighbourhood is best explored by bike.
Flat terrain, wide paths, and the city right at your wheels. In short: a neighbourhood that feels the way Amsterdammers actually live.
Relaxed, easy, and with everything within reach. Para Boutique is a self-contained suite designed in the spirit of Japanese compact efficiency.
The layout consists of one open main room and a separate private bathroom within the suite. Guests enter the building through the main entrance using a smart lock with their personal PIN code: no keys, no front desk, no waiting.
Just inside, there's a small shared entryway with a coat rack, which guests briefly pass through to reach the suite.
The suite itself is accessed through its own private door.
The suite is entirely yours. The main room combines the sleeping, living, working and cooking functions in a single open layout.
You'll find a European double bed (140 cm), a dedicated workspace with desk and chair, a smart TV, and a kitchenette with a fridge, a combination microwave oven, a kettle, and coffee and tea. A washing machine, hairdryer, and iron with ironing board are all provided. The private bathroom is just off the main room and includes a shower, washbasin and toilet. Suitable for a maximum of two guests, and best for travellers who value considered design and quiet privacy.
