## Emplacement
-- Magnan ou La Madeleine
The Madeleine district is a narrow area occupying one of the valleys that go down from the hills to the sea. Very urban and quite popular, the Boulevard de la Madeleine offers the experience of a real immersion in an active and dynamic corner of the city.
-- Les Baumettes
Part of the famous Promenade des Anglais, the Baumettes district located in the heart of Nice is double faceted. Residential on its heights, it becomes much more urban, commercial and lively as it gets close to the shore. This family district is ideal to enjoy the beach and the real neighbourhood life.
-- Gambetta
Living in the Gambetta district is characterized by the possibility to enjoy the sea in no time, while being only a few streets away from the downtown area. More recent than the hyper-central districts, Gambetta presents an harmonious mix of the Bourgeois buildings (typical of the 19th century urbanism) , Art Deco buildings and contemporary buildings. Gambetta is not a very large district, yet it has several shopping streets: the Rue de France, famous throughout the city for its shops. Accessible by tram, this district has everything to please!
-- Le Piol - Parc impérial - Vernier
The Imperial Park district owes its name from the Imperial Hotel which was built in 1902 for the Russian community who used to spend their winters on the French Riviera. This district witnessed a real transformation during the Universal Exhibition in Nice. We can now find memories of this period with magnificent buildings. Today it is a colourful residential area, perfect for a family stay, thanks to the proximity of the sea and the shops that will delight all your cravings during your stay.
-- Thiers - Musiciens
Mozart, Verdi, or Rossini used to stroll through the streets of this district. The musicians' neighbourhood is the symbol of the Nice architecture. It is really appreciated for its calm and immediate proximity to the hyper centre of Nice. Although it is very close to the hyper center, the musicians' area offers a real neighborhood life to its inhabitants. There are many local shops and restaurants in the area.
-- Jean - Médecin
This district is mainly known for the avenue Jean-Médecin. It is one of the city's north-south traffic axes and appears as the main shopping artery of Nice. It is designated by the people of Nice as "l'Avenue". You will be a stone's throw from the Notre-Dame de Nice Basilica and the huge Nicetoile shopping centre.
-- Carabacel
Just a stone's throw from the port and adjacent to the old town, this district has many shops and emblematic places. A resolutely urban and active population would be seduced by the district of Carabacel. The city of Nice is known for its narrow streets and its extremely dense urban fabric. Although the Carabacel district is no exception to the rule, it nevertheless benefits from an exceptional space. With its walks and cycle paths, shaded by palm trees and plants typical of Mediterranean vegetation, it is a meeting place for the inhabitants of the district.
